This is a blog post. We can set up a multiple author, blog by email system (auto-posts) or we could set it up for all blog posts to get screened by Pastor Mike, who sends them to me and I can post them under the author’s name. Wide variety of options.

By nature, blog posts are generally fairly short articles – three to five paragraph length works best (but I violate this “rule” all the time and write ten page manifestos on my blog and no one minds). Blog posts also “scroll off” – meaning that the most recent content is always at the top, and as content ages and is replaced by more, it is no longer visible on the front page but can be accessed via archives.

Pages, on the other hand, are static content that should always be accessible all the time. Pages cannot be written via email.

This website has a user interface that can be accessed via password to write both pages and blog posts. If you’d prefer I can give you access to it and teach you how to do it. This gives you the option to use styling in your post like bold and italics, and to add links without needing to know html.

Posts go into categories – which can be anything. We could have

Pastor Mike

Pastor Debbie

Pastor Jay

Pastor Lorie

Or we could have

What God Is Doing

Revival History

Special Events

This is a pretty flexible platform; if you have ideas please share because I can likely either find a plugin or program what you want.
